We had a great time in NJ this year for Easter! I brought the kids to my parents' house on the Wednesday before since Mimi Irene and Auntie Michele had the week off of school. Daddy came with Darby on Thursday night. We visited Babci and Dziadzi, hosted family and friends at my parents' house, and enjoyed the extra hands to help take care of the babies and Lucas.
On the Friday before Easter, we went on a little outing to Van Saun Park. My parents used to take Michele and I here all the time when we were little, so it was fun to bring our little family for a visit. We were hoping to put Lucas on the train, but when we got there, we found out it wouldn't open for the season until just after Easter. Boo! At least the Zoo was opened, so we enjoyed seeing the animals and playing on the playground. Lucia, Mario and Giovanna met up with us! So fun to get the kids together (can't wait for the summer down the shore!), and visit with one of my very oldest friends!
On Saturday, we dyed eggs and had a little Easter egg hunt.
Easter morning, we went to church, where the kids looked adorable and were all SO well behaved (though, going to church is not anything new for them, since we try to go somewhat regularly). After church, we took family pictures outside and opened Easter baskets. We enjoyed an awesome meal that my mom and sister prepared, and celebrated Michele's birthday with our traditional bunny cake made by yours truly!. We drove home in two cars on Sunday evening.
