Summer Beach Fun...

Photos from several different weeks and weekends spent in Brigantine this summer. The kids loved the beach! Lucas dug and dug. Claire and David crawled, sat and ate lots of sand!

Claire is 10 months old!

Wow! Fun and busy summer means crazy neglect of the blog!

David and Claire were 10 months old on Aug 5! Not sure how time has flown so quickly! These two just get more fun as the days go on. They are both crawling, pulling up, and cruising. Climbing is also a new trick as they can both climb the stairs and can climb in to Lucas' anywhere chair to look out the window. They are both super fast and we can't turn our heads away for too long or they will get into trouble. Luckily, they are both quite vocal so even if one of them does disappear for a few moments, they can easily be found by following the babble.  

 

Claire.  A few words have been uttered by the little miss.  "Dada" is a favorite and she definitely says it to her daddy. She has also spoken the worlds "Hi", "Sooooo" (as in "so big"), "bye-bye", and "night-night". 

Pulling-up was a huge accomplishment this month, and now she can also squat, fall down gracefully, cruise and climb stairs. 

Two of Claire's top teeth came in for a total of 6. So now she can bite a cracker instead of just gumming one. 

Claire has started to scream the most high-pitched sound when she doesn't get what she wants or when one of the boys takes a toy that she was playing with. In the earlier part of the month, she would even clench her fists and shake them while she screamed and her face would turn a reddish purple. Tantrum anyone? The screams are still around, but It seems like the fist-clenching phase may have passed. Hopefully. Fingers crossed.

David is 10 months old!

David and Claire were 10 months old on Aug 5! Not sure how time has flown so quickly! These two just get more fun as the days go on. They are both crawling, pulling up, and cruising. David. David now has 8 teeth. 7 showed up this month - 6 in one week! I want to say "Ouch!", but he was in very good spirits and slept solidly through the nights that week. It really made me start to wonder when in the teething process does the most "hurt" and discomfort of teething really occur. 

David says "hiiiiii" quite often, and we think he is using it as a greeting or salutation. I also catch him saying "mama" a lot after he falls and is whiney or when he is hungry and wants to eat.  I'll have to evaluate it a bit more, but a "Mama" from our little mama's boy wouldn't surprise me in the least!
