The babies looked adorable in their baptismal outfits. David wore Grandpa Bob's romper that was also worn by Lucas. And Claire wore the lace dress that I wore for my Christening. It was also worn by her Godmother, Auntie Michele, and our cousin, Christine, who the dress was originally purchased for.
30 of our closest friends and family members came in to town to celebrate with us. C&D were the only babies being baptized, but we filled up many pews with our crew. They did really well during the ceremony, but Claire lost it right in time to take photos afterwards. Poor girl was so tired since the ceremony took place during nap time. She was woken up 2x while she tried to catch some zzzz's - once to get dressed and once as soon as we pulled in to the church parking lot! So, needless to say, Claire is very upset and red-eyed in most of the photos up at the altar.
After the ceremony, we all went back to our house for a lovely catered lucheon celebration. We were all exhausted by Sunday night, but it seems that a great time was had by all!
