Claire is 11 months old!

How are we already SO close to the one-year mark?! It is really amazing how quickly time flies with these little ones.

So much has happened this month! I went back to read Lucas' 11 month post, he also had a ton of accomplishments at this point, as well.

"On the verge of walking" can pretty much sum up this month. Both babies push and walk behind our push-cart toys. David is pretty quick and if the cart gets too far ahead of him, he'll fall to his knees and continue on while pushing crawling! Claire is much more careful and will walk quite slowly. David loves to push Claire around.

The babies are both becoming little jokesters and are developing quite a sense of humor. They love to play peek-a-boo, love to be chased, and love to hide. David will go under the desk in our kitchen, out of sight and when you start asking where he went, he will pop his head out and laugh and laugh! Claire likes to bury her head in a pillow or on the couch or ottoman, and act like we can't see her. Then she'll pop her head up with a huge smile and repeat it all over again!

Both David and Claire like to pretend to sleep and lay their heads down when we say "night, night, David" or "night, night, Claire! So adorable!

They also love to laugh and play with each other! Like huge belly laughs and hugging and wrestling! Months ago I was impressed with their interaction with each other, but I obviously had no clue how this relationship would change and evolve. And I'm sure we are only seeing the beginning.

David and Claire can both drink out of a cup with a straw now, which means we can start the transition to milk this month (I refuse to put milk in a bottle since we plan to put all bottles away near the 1 year mark). So far they've only had water, so I'm sure they'll be excited to try something new in their cups!

Claire. Claire's newest achievement is standing unassisted! She is quite steady and will clap while standing as well! She has also been spotted getting into a stand from a squat In the middle of a room. She's taken one step, but we really don't think it counts because as soon as she steps, she will propell herself forward and just collapse in your arms like a tree! She's usually laughing and squealing while this happens. We think a true step means that she's balanced after she takes the step - and she's not quite there yet. Soon!

Claire LOVES to clap and started doing so a couple of days before David did. She claps when she hears clapping on the TV or when there's applause in a song. She claps when you ask her to clap. She claps when she's excited. So darn cute!

She gets a kick out of waving at everyone when she hears "hi" or "bye-bye"!

She has also started pointing. Not necessarily when she wants something, but just in general.

Claire got two more teeth this month and now has a total of 8 - 4 top and 4 bottom.

More fun by the minute, cuter by the second and we get to experience it times two! So blessed!
