Evan is 10 months old!

- Evan's 10th month started off with being found like this in his crib! We have a crib puller-upper!
- Starting to see some claps, but not very consistent yet.
- Evan LOVES the bath and pool and just splashes, laughs and shrieks away!
- Still just has two bottom front teeth.
- Starting to climb steps.
- LOVES his big sibs like no other!
- Words: hi, banana (na na na na, changing the intonation for each na), mama, dada, cheese

 - Evan attended his first Phillies baseball game with Grandpa Pipal, Mimi Connie, Great Grandpa Pipal, Allison, Jon and our family of 6.

- What a great visit with Great Grandpa Pipal! He was so excited to meet his newest great grandson!

- Some of the biggest smiles we've ever seen occur when Evan is swinging!

- Some summer portraits in our backyard.

- This month, we also became aware of Evan's peanut allergy (and suspect an egg allergy). Just after his 9 month well-visit, where we got the go-ahead from his pediatrician to introduce all foods (except for honey, which is unsafe for a child under 1), we fed Evan a small piece of toast spread with peanut butter. About an hour later, hives started to form on his forehead, and within minutes, they became wide-spread to his torso, back, and legs. I gave him Benadryl before even calling the doctor. Then, we rushed to the emergency room (luckily, all of the kids were ready to go since we were about to get in the car to go to a friends house anyway), where they administered epinephrine (epi pen) and steroids. Evan was monitored for several hours and then we were sent home with the phone number for an allergist and his own epi pens. We had to change some of the food choices in our pantry. And, now we read labels very thoroughly and have to be more careful at restaurants (or will bring his own food).
