- Cut his first tooth and the second isn't far behind (bottom middle incisors)
- Evan can sit very steadily.
- Evan rocks on his hands and knees and SO BADLY wants to crawl forward!
- He is very close to clapping.
- Sometimes we think he is waving and saying "HI", but probably getting ahead of ourselves a bit.
- Eats lots of fruits and vegetable combos. Didn't like green veggies for a few weeks, but is starting to come around. Started finger foods and he's eaten sweet potatoes, mini waffles that he holds in his hands, and pancakes. Evan can also drink from a straw sippy cup.
- The absolute smiley-est kid we have! He lights up at anyone who talks to him, but he is partial to his siblings! And not just smiling...full on open mouth, making noises, flapping his arms and bouncing up and down if he's standing up. His excitement is so contagious! His 8 month photo shoot was a breeze, and took all of 5 minutes to get about 30 great shots!
- Exciting news on the helmet front: When I took Evan in for his fitting at 5 weeks, the measurements of his head are in the normal range! He had a huge growth spurt over Memorial Day weekend, and his head grew in to the void of his helmet so well (which is over his flat spot). So his next fitting on July 15 is not going to be a fitting...it's going to be the removal of his helmet! His head looks amazing now, and our orthotist, Mr. Steve, recommended we keep it for another month so that if there is any regression, he doesn't fall back out of normal. Plus, it's another month of obtaining uniformity. So exciting! So, after 9 weeks, the little guy is going to have amazingly round head! Such a worth-it decision!
